At last – Australia’s very first Large Animal Rescue training courses are scheduled for November. Earlier this year, I arranged for Dr Rebecca Gimenez, Primary Instructor and President of Technical Large Animal Emergency Rescue in the USA, to demonstrate rescue techniques at Equitana Melbourne 2010. While she is in Australia, Dr Gimenez will also conduct the following training courses:

Horse SA is hosting a one-day awareness-level course with Dr Gimenez for emergency responders, veterinarians, animal welfare officers, zoo staff, horse racing and event personnel, staff and volunteers who may be required to respond to an equine emergency, and interested individuals and organisations associated with large animals that may end up in difficult situations. To be held at the Goyder Mezzanine, Adelaide Showground, Wayville, South Australia.

Cost is $365 inc GST (Horse SA members $320 inc GST)
